Meet the Executive Team of GorStra

  • Aidan Gorman

    Founder & Chief Executive Officer

    As Founder & CEO, he is responsible for working with clients and overseeing the Research and Business Development Departments.

    Aidan has substantial experience in the foreign affairs field, having worked for three different departments as an Assistant at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow. Along with his international experience in the public sector, he also has local outreach experience having worked for Portsmouth City Council. He has also worked in the private and third sector, for London Politica, the Global Peace Foundation, Luminint, and other organizations.

    He is currently in his final year at the University of Portsmouth studying International Relations.

  • Kaitlyn Whitsitt

    Head of Research

    As Head of Research, Kaitlyn aids in the oversight of the research team and other administrative functions. She has previous experience managing, writing, and editing student publishings, as well as work experience at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.

    Currently working towards a joint degree in Archaeology and Political Science at the University of Glasgow, she has a grassroots background of engagement and research in international relations, having performed a variety of leadership and other roles in Model UN conferences and living in international communities.

  • Samuel Jardine

    Strategic Advisor

    Samuel is a career analyst specialising in the geopolitics, policy, and security of outer space, the Polar regions, "Global Britain", and the Indo-Pacific with a particular focus on defence, climate conflict, mineral politics, and strategy.

    He is the Head of Research at London Politica as well as a Consultant for RUSI's Defence, Industries and Society Research Group. Alongside this he is a Research Fellow at the Open Lunar Foundation and a current mentee of RUSI's Military Sciences "Rising Stars" thought leadership programme. Previously he was a Fellow of the Arctic Institute, the Ecologic Institute, and MiH-RCN hosted Arctic Geopolitics programme.

    Prior to 2020 Sam ran his own public history company utilising an Applied History approach to contemporary policy problems. Sam in 2019 received an MA in Modern History from King's College London and in 2018 a BA(Hons) in History from the Open University.
