About GorStra Research Group

GorStra Research Group is a pro-bono human rights research group, led by emerging young leaders located around the world. We create bespoke analytical reports for our public-facing Desks focused on different regions of the world and important topics. We run our own projects, such as our podcast with industry experts and our video group using short form video content. Along with our public-facing side, we work with various NGOs, charities, and organizations. Some clients we have worked with include:

Role Information

As a Social Media Officer for GorStra, you will:

  • Enhance GorStra’s online platform and media outreach

  • Develop and assist in executing a social media and outreach strategy for GorStra, assisting with content development and increasing our visibility online

  • Help establish GorStra as a thought leader in the industry, driving content and engaging with potential clients online

  • Assist the Business Development team with client outreach when social media is involved

 

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university degree or recently graduated from a university

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong multitasking abilities 

  • Ability to manage stressful situations and strict deadlines 

  • Ability to offer excellent service to clients

  • Interest in international affairs, politics, and/or human rights

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools 

  • Ability to quickly learn and use new CRM technology

  • Able to commit 4-6 hours a week

 

Desired Qualities

  • Proficiency in a foreign language
